Electric Castle

Electric Castle is a music festival born in 2013 and held every year in July for four days at Castle Bánffy Bontida, Transylvania. Rock, reggae, hip hop, electronic music and indie, all come together at the Electric Castle, where specially designed stages awaits them. It is a space of alternative culture, of hipster spirit, where technology meets creation, where young people socialize in a fairy space listening to rhythms of The Prodigy, Skrillex, Bring Me the Horizon, Fatboy Slim, Sigur Ros, Bastille, Rudimental, Thievery Corporation or Die Antwoord. This festival was nominated in 2013 at the European Festival Awards, Best Medium Sized Festival category. Every year since then, it was in this European event of great significance among the 10 finalists. In 2016, 121,000 people participated in this event and over 200 artists appeared on stage festival. The National Tourism Authority, representatives of central public administration in tourism, is a partner of this festival and contest since 2016.
